FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — Fikes, a service company that works in odor control, sanitation, pest control and other product businesses, announced the acquisition of Sound Pest Management. Fikes and Sound Pest Management have both been in business for more than 20 years with roots in Washington’s Puget Sound area.
Fikes began in 2003 with CEO Mark Sims as the only employee working out of a 10x10 storage unit and providing restroom cleaning and paper products for his small client base.
Since then, Fikes has grown to be one of the most comprehensive vendors for businesses in the state with a presence that’s expanded beyond Washington State into Oregon and Colorado and a client base of thousands of different types of businesses.
Sound Pest Management was founded in 2002 by Frank Carter and his wife Amy. After 15 years working as a pest control technician and manager at Orkin, Frank took the knowledge he gained and started his own family-owned-and-operated pest control company serving Seattle and its surrounding areas.
Today, Sound Pest Management is a recognized brand in the region, servicing thousands of clients with a strong customer service reputation, the company said.
