Go-Forth Pest Management has reported fire ants in Forsyth County, according to an article in the Winston-Salem Journal.
Although fire ants are not considered to be officially established in Forsyth County, they can be found here. Leah Hazelwood at Go-Forth Pest Management said that fire ants are popping up everywhere and spreading quickly.
"We've seen them in Winston-Salem, High Point, Randolph County - and there are even some in the new house I just bought in Greensboro," said Hazelwood, the company's director of marketing.
