Swarms of fleas from an abandoned Central Florida home are spreading throughout a neighborhood, covering some homeowners' head to toe when they step outside.
The fleas are feeding on fallen fruit near the abandoned home in Deltona and so are groups of rats from the home, neighbors said. Code enforcement officers said the homeowner is not violating any laws by having excessive fleas and rats in their back yard.
