JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The first preparatory course for the Associate Certified Entomologist (ACE) exam to be offered in the state of Florida was presented on Feb. 24, at the Duval County Extension Center in Jacksonville, Fla.
The ACE exam was offered at the end of the day to those who were pre-qualified by the Entomological Society of America (ESA) to sit for the exam. There are now 14 new ACEs in the state of Florida and one new ACE in Cleveland, Ohio. The course attracted PCOs from central and north Florida and even one who flew down from Cleveland, Ohio. The second preparatory course and exam is now scheduled for July 29, at the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences facility, Mid-Florida Research & Education Center 2725 S.
