IBS attendees registered for the sweepstakes at the Impasse Termite Blocker booth, and a third-party firm randomly selected McIntee following the trade show. McIntee is a construction manager with Paul R. McIntee Building, Inc., a homebuilder based in Kissimmee, Fla. McIntee selected the cash prize option and a check for $20,000 was presented to him on Feb. 2nd in downtown Orlando.
“We are thrilled with the level of interest in Impasse Termite Blockers at IBS,” said Linda Frerichs, senior communications manager, Syngenta. “The HUMMER sweepstakes just added an exciting element to our overall participation with this important audience and this promotion allowed us to increase awareness among builders about the depth of the termite problem as well as the Impasse Termite Blocker solution.”
Termite damage is a problem that plagues homeowners throughout the United States. Impasse Termite Blocker is an innovative solution that protects homes from subterranean termite attack. Termites only require 1/32nd of an inch to gain access to a home, and termites often enter through gaps along utility pipes and bath traps in the foundation. Only Impasse Termite Blocker specifically targets and protects these points from subterranean termite attack.
Impasse Termite Blocker is made from a durable polymer with a specially formulated termiticide “locked in” between outer layers. There is virtually no release of termiticide into the environment, which minimizes exposure to handlers and homebuyers while maintaining product effectiveness in the long-term.
Installed by an authorized pest management professional prior to the pouring of a home’s concrete slab, each Impasse Termite Blocker can be installed with little interruption to the construction process. Once the concrete is poured, Impasse Termite Blockers are encased in the foundation, providing an unprecedented level of termite protection.
Impasse Termite Blocker is designed to complement existing termite pre-construction treatments such as liquid termiticides and baits. IMPASSE Termite Blockers are protecting homes across the country from Florida to Hawaii.
