Florida PCO Wins PCT Sweepstakes

RICHFIELD, Ohio — Bob Rost, owner of Econo Plus Pest Services, has won the August PCT Sweepstakes.

Rost wins an Exacticide Premium System from Technicide. His name was randomly chosen from a pool of PCT Online users who entered their names in the sweepstakes.

Rost founded Econo Plus Pest Services, Bradenton, Fla., in 1995. He moved to Florida with his wife, Marie, in 1986, after selling his two paint and hardware companies in New Jersey.

“When I sold my house in New Jersey, I was told I had termites. That was the first time I bumped into them,” Rost said. Then, when he moved into his new house in Florida, he saw a technician inspecting the house next door for termites.

“I was fascinated by what he was doing,” Rost said. Eventually, bored with the life of semi-retirement, he would end up working for the company, and manage an entire county.

The company does mainly fumigations, subterranean termite and general pest control for residential accounts, Rost said.
