FMC Hosts 6th Annual SmartBiz Customer Conference

The conference was held in Scottsdale, Ariz. Training classes were offered for novice and advanced SmartBiz software users, with a special business track for owners and managers as well.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.. — FMC Corporation and the FMC Software Solutions Center announced the completion of its sixth Annual SmartBiz Customer Conference. The three-day training seminar was held in Scottsdale, Ariz., Dec. 6-8, 2006.

Training classes were offered for novice and advanced SmartBiz software users, with a special business track for owners and managers as well. Some of the workshop training units included the future of technology, paperless collection, credit card processing, re-routing with mapping, the paperless office, the benefits of handhelds, maintaining a web presence, and many others. The event also included several networking opportunities for attendees.

One of this year’s keynote speakers was Matt Harward, radio host of Business Alchemy and co-author of multiple books on investing and wealth-building principles. Harward gave tips for helping business owners streamline their decision making process and improve customer satisfaction.

Mike Reynolds of Middleton Lawn and Pest Control in Florida showcased that company’s Web site and explained how it is used as a valuable marketing tool. He demonstrated how integrating the Web site with the company’s database has helped Middleton Lawn and Pest Control empower their customers to purchase services and pay their bills online. In addition, technicians can work with their schedules from home over the internet after normal office hours.
