FAIRFAX, Va. — The National Pest Management Association (NPMA) announces that former White House Press Secretary Tony Snow will address attendees at Legislative Day 2008, March 3-4 in Washington, D.C.
Legislative Day 2008, sponsored by FMC Professional Solutions, will be held downtown in the heart of Washington, D.C. at the Mayflower Hotel, a national landmark and member of the Historic Hotels of America.
Tony Snow served as the White House Press Secretary for President George Bush from May 2006 to September 2007. Snow has spent a quarter of a century in the news business, and worked in all three major media outlets — print, radio and television. For seven years, he served as the host of FOX News Sunday and most recently as the host of The Tony Snow Show on FOX News Radio, and Weekend Live with Tony Snow on the FOX News Channel.
Legislative Day is a once-a-year opportunity for individual pest management industry members to collectively come to Capitol Hill and speak directly with their elected senators and representatives. As always, Legislative Day will combine visits with lawmakers and their staff with an educational program and keynote presentations from renowned speakers and Washington policy makers and insiders.
“For more than twenty-years, NPMA’s Legislative Day has been characterized by a program of top-notch Washington insiders and this year will be no exception,” said NPMA’s senior vice president Bob Rosenberg. “With the upcoming presidential and congressional elections, 2008 is an especially important year for PMPs to be heard.”
