LOMBARD, Ill. — Fox Pest Control served long-time customers, Thomas and Janet Stuckey, by removing their faulty deck to allow easier mobility. On August 1st, ten team members traveled to Lombard and gave up their Saturday to assist the Stuckey family.
Tom Reynolds, branch manager at Fox Pest Control, met the Stuckeys in 2017 when he regularly treated their home. After many conversations and getting to know the couple better, Reynolds learned that Thomas, a former Marine, and his wife, experience mobility difficulties, especially around their deck.
Noticing the Stuckey’s substandard deck, Reynolds immediately took action and recruited ten of his technicians. Not only did they remove the rotted deck, but they cleaned up the area afterwards to ensure a safe surrounding for the couple.
“Everytime I came to service their home, I kept noticing the state of the deck was getting worse.” said Reynolds, Branch Manager of Fox Pest Control. “It was a project I knew we needed to do and I’m glad we could help such a wonderful couple.”
Reynolds provided all the power tools, gloves, saws, eye protection, disc blades, etc. Total costs came to around $250, but was absorbed by Reynolds and the Fox family.
