ORLANDO, Fla. – Allen Fugler, executive vice president of the Florida Pest Management Association, was recently named to Region 4 (the central Florida Region) of the Regional Advisory Councils (RECs) of the Florida Agricultural Council (FAC). The FAC is a function of the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences of the University of Florida (IFAS).

The Regional Advisory Councils allow for geographic representation of stakeholders in the IFAS land grant mission, taking input regarding social trends, educational and technological issues, and economic circumstances that affect the state’s agricultural industries and natural resources. The RECs provide a forum for ongoing discussion and development of policy guidance for research, education and investment.
