WESTFIELD, Ind. - The 9th Fumigants & Pheromones Conference will be held March 3-5, 2010 in Valencia, Spain. This conference will bring together people who work to protect stored products. Since the first Fumigants & Pheromones conference in Lübeck Germany in 1993, more than 2000 people from 60 countries have attended this unique meeting. This conference is unique in that it focuses on the practical side of solving pest problems. Speakers are carefully selected to offer useful knowledge from their practical experiences.
The theme for this conference is “Reducing Customer Complaints in Stored Products.” This starts with the insect first and moves through a detailed process until the customer is satisfied. Protecting the integrity of a food product and the reputation of the producer is vital. The challenge of performing this job with environmentally friendly products and methods will be discussed in two days of classroom lectures.
The workshop will take place at the Port of Valencia. José ca and his company Roca Defisan will show the attendees various stored product control programs in this busy Mediterranean port.
