DUBLIN, Ga. - The Georgia Pest Control Association (GPCA) has honored Jimmy Allgood, of Allgood Pest Solutions, for his industry leadership and vision by creating an award in his name, to be awarded biennially at the GPCA Athens Conference.
The James L. Allgood, Jr. Award honors Allgood’s service and commitment to the industry as well as recognizing the outstanding leader of the current Leadership Program class, GCPA said.
“I really appreciate the industry honoring me and our company,” said Allgood. “Nothing could be any more important to me than a legacy of leadership. Thanks to all the people that had a part in this award,” he added.
The James L. Allgood, Jr. Award will be awarded biennially at the GPCA Athens Conference. Leadership Program class members who have demonstrated a special acumen for leadership will be selected by their classmates as candidates for the award.
Additionally, Commission of Agriculture Gary Black honored Allgood for his service on the Structural Pest Control Commission and 20 years as Chairman.
