ATLANTA – The Georgia Pest Control Association (GPCA) recognized Chuck Carney, regional vice president of Cook’s Pest Control, and Xavier Cugnon, vice president of human resources administration at Arrow Exterminators, for their efforts in the veterans’ community throughout Georgia.
Carney and Cugnon received the PestVet of the Year Award at the 2021 GPCA Winter Conference in Dalton, Ga., in mid-January. Their nominations have been forwarded to the National Pest Management Association for consideration for the NPMA Pest Vet of the Year award.
The Georgia PestVets 3/16 Veteran Support Group was established in 2020 under the NPMA’s PestVets umbrella. The Georgia PestVets’ goal is not only to help provide jobs for veterans in the pest control industry, but also to showcase the pest control industry’s support and contribution to veterans.
Carney and Cugnon serve as co-chairmen of the Georgia PestVets Unit.
