GPCA Announces Pair Of Training Events

The Georgia Pest Control Association announces dates and locations for the 2005 Central Georgia Regional Conference and the 6-Week PCO course.

NORCROSS, Ga. — Georgia PCOs will have their last chance to obtain recertification credits before the deadline of April 30 in Georgia. The Georgia Pest Control Association will present the 2005 Central Georgia Regional Conference on Feb. 23-24 in Macon, GA. This is a FREE conference for members who preregister. A possible 12 credits can be earned throughout the two days.

Regulatory issues, termite pretreats, termite treatments, ants, occasional invaders, respirator safety, mosquito control and principles of IPM are just a few of the course topics.

The annual 6-week intensive training class for PCOs will be held at the GPCA headquarters starting March 1. Meeting twice a week for six weeks, graduates of this class have an unprecedented 90+% pass rate when they take their state licensing exams. Richard Spencer, well known Georgia pest control company owner, serves as the instructor for the six weeks’ training.
