The Georgia Pest Control Association has a long history of awarding scholarships to members’ children. It is a way to enhance the value of being a member of GPCA and also emphasize the importance of family which has been a mainstay throughout our association’s history. Since 1986 GPCA has awarded 132 scholarships. Funding for the Burnett Scholarship comes from a portion of the revenue collected at the GPCA Annual Charity Golf Tournament.
Each of the winners will receive a $1000 scholarship to use toward their college education:
McKenzie Knudsen daughter of Heath Knudsen, owner of Flexible Pest Services.
McKenzie plans to attend Georgia Regents University.

This award will help me achieve my future goals of attending Georgia Regents University in Augusta where I will work towards an education in Kinesiology while being a part of GRU’s cross country team. Thank you for choosing me as a recipient I know it will go far.”

Growing up with an entrepreneur as a dad, his hard work has inspired me to be just like him; receiving this Scholarship has definitely got me started on the right foot. Thank you again for this opportunity to allow me to pursue my future dreams.”

“Thank you so much for your generous scholarship and for believing in me. I am the third generation in a pest control family. It is awesome that Georgia Pest Control Association has a scholarship fund for upcoming college freshmen like myself. This scholarship will help me with college expenses such as books, tuition, and room and board. I just graduated from Chestatee High School in Gainesville, Ga. I will be attending College of Coastal Georgia in Brunswick, Ga., in the fall. I will be pursuing an education in healthcare. My plans are to become a Labor and Delivery Nurse.”
Andrew Tindol son of Whitt Tindol, Allgood Pest Solutions, Duluth.
Andrew plans to attend Georgia College.
“Thank you to the Georgia Pest Control Association for selecting me for the Glen Burnett Scholarship. I have been around the pest control industry my whole life and I am honored to receive this scholarship. I am currently working as a termite technician at Allgood Pest Solutions for the summer before I head off to college in August. I am a fourth generation Tindol to work in this industry. I plan on attending Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, Georgia in the fall. I will be majoring in Mass Communications with the hopes of being a Sports Journalist or Broadcaster after college. This scholarship means a lot to me as it will go to help pay expenses for my freshman year.”
