Green Shield Certified Offers New IPM Resources

Green Shield Certified announces two new IPM educational materials for PMPs and facility managers.

Pest management professionals and facility managers now have a new educational resource for IPM in multi-unit housing. The University of Florida's updated Integrated Pest Management Policy and Treatment Options for University Housing manual was recently presented during a national webinar sponsored by the Association of College and University Housing Officers - International (ACUHO-I).
 
The manual is being widely distributed at national ACUHO-I meetings, a recent Association of Physical Plan Administrators meeting, all Florida's 67 County Extension Offices and elsewhere across the country. Total distribution has exceeded 4,000.
 
Content includes examples of IPM policies and objectives, IPM actions flow chart, pest-specific IPM options, sample pest surveillance and record keeping forms and more. This comprehensive and easy-to-use manual makes a constructive supplement for any IPM training program. Click here to download the manual as a PDF. 

Also available is a new Spanish-language bed bug video from the Rutgers School of Environmental and Biological Sciences. This eight-minute video about bed bugs and IPM can serve as a great educational tool for your Spanish-speaking customers and be included in community outreach programs you may offer.
