LARCHMONT, NY — Atlantic Legal Foundation Chairman and President Hayward D. Fisk announced the appointment of Greg Baumann to the foundation's advisory council. Baumann is vice president of global regulatory and technical services for Nisus Corporation, Rockford, Tenn.
Baumann has more than four decades of experience with federal and state regulation of pesticides and other types of chemicals. He serves on the executive committee of the American Chemistry Council Center for Biocide Chemistries and is chair of the Antimicrobial Exposure Assessment Task Force, a 40-plus company coalition of manufacturers that generates toxicological studies to satisfy data requirements required by American and Canadian regulatory agencies.
A chemist by training, Baumann is a monthly columnist for an industry trade journal. He has been an advisor to the United Nations World Health Organization on the topic of public health implications of urban pests.
As a part of ALF's leadership team — its board of directors, advisory council, executive staff and consultants — Baumann joins an organization whose mission is to improve American jurisprudence and the American experience by fostering sound science in judicial and regulatory proceedings; championing effective education, including parents' rights to choose the schools and types of educational instruction best suited for the education of their children; and advocating for free enterprise, limited and responsible government, property rights, individual liberty, civil justice and the rule of law under our Constitution.
"We are delighted that Greg Baumann, a chemical industry leader with extensive regulatory and technical expertise and experience, has joined ALF's leadership team and cadre of outstanding scientists," said Fisk.
