QualityPro Green certification requires pest management companies to:
• Employ a comprehensive, environmentally friendly approach when treating a property.
• Investigate the source of the problem and eliminate it before applying pesticides.
• Apply pesticides only when necessary.
To earn the certification, all Griffin Pest Solutions employees in a service or sales capacity were required to participate in extended training and pass the National Pest Management Associations’ QualityPro Green exam.
“Griffin Pest Solutions has been practicing ‘green’ pest management for several years now.” stated Jeff Spencer, vice president of Griffin Pest Solutions. “We are very happy the National Pest Management Association has acknowledged the need for a ‘green’ accreditation in our industry.”
The QualityPro Green certification has generated additional business for the firm through the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Mark to Market (M2M). The M2M Green Initiative program requires a Green Operating and Maintenance Plan, which includes QualityPro Green certification to conduct pest management for HUD Section 8 properties.
