Eight out of 13 rodents collected from the Norton Younglove Preserve in San Timoteo Canyon near Beaumont in December have tested positive for hantavirus, county officials announced on Thursday, Jan. 21, the Press-Enterprise reported.
Now health officials are urging Riverside County residents to be careful when dealing with situations that might take them into contact with rodent droppings.
