ORLANDO, FLA., March 29, 2006 – Harvey L. Massey, president/CEO of Massey Services, Inc., has recently been honored with the Florida Hospital “William Trickel, Jr.” Volunteer Award.
Massey was selected from a group of more than 300 volunteers and board members at the Florida Hospital Foundation for his leadership abilities, active board participation, volunteer time and commitment as an ambassador of the Florida Hospital Foundation mission.
In 2003, Harvey and Carol Massey joined the Winter Park Memorial Hospital Family Board of Directors, with Harvey serving as Chairman of the Board. Harvey has helped raise over $10 million toward a $37.5 million campaign goal. Harvey and Carol Massey are steadfast in their commitment to provide world-class healthcare for the community of Winter Park.
“It is our pleasure and privilege to support the mission of Florida Hospital Foundation,” said Massey. “It takes more than just money and time to make a difference. You give back to the community from the heart, and Carol and I care deeply about making sure we have quality healthcare in the Winter Park community. We are glad to work with the Florida Hospital Foundation and thank them for this wonderful recognition.”
Massey will be recognized officially at the next Florida Hospital Foundation’s Executive Board Meeting. Winning this award also makes Massey eligible for the Florida Hospital Foundation’s annual “Outstanding Volunteer Award.”
