Hawx Pest Control
OGDEN, Utah – Hawx Pest Control has been named a 2025 Green Business Awards honoree by Utah Business magazine for its commitment to environmental stewardship in daily operations.
The award recognizes Hawx's measurable, company-wide initiatives, which Utah Business featured in its October 2025 issue.
Key programs recognized by the award include:
- Reforestation: Hawx Pest Control plants one tree for every new customer through One Tree Planted, totaling over 45,000 trees since the program began in 2022, said Hawx.
- Pollinator protection: Hawx relocates honey and bumble bees with local beekeepers and supports habitat growth through Bayer's "Feed A Bee" program.
- Operational efficiency: Over half of Hawx's 650-vehicle fleet is hybrid. In addition, AI telematics have reduced fuel waste by 70%, hard braking by 70% and driver cell phone use by 88%, the company said.
- Internal sustainability: Hawx Pest Control consolidated its headquarters to reduce energy use and support remote work, reducing emissions from employee commuting.
"We're thrilled and honestly, really proud to be recognized by Utah Business magazine for our commitment to sustainable pest management practices," said Jeff Thompson, chief marketing officer at Hawx Pest Control. "This award is more than a corporate policy; it proves our company acts on its commitments. It shows that a pest control company can and should be a leader in environmental care.”
