Dr. Kenneth Haynes, a professor and researcher at the University of Kentucky, recently was published in Scientific American. Haynes wrote a bed bug article titled “Sleeping with the Enemy,” which reviews how “a confluence of factors ranging from the evolution of insecticide resistance to shifts in patterns of international travel seem to have fueled the parasite’s comeback.” The article also includes an account of an elderly man dealing with a bed bug infestation.
