INDIANAPOLIS — The Hex-Pro™ Termite Baiting System from Dow AgroSciences, using Shatter™ termite bait, is now registered for use as a stand-alone new construction termite control product in Florida. The Hex-Pro System is listed with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services as an accepted treatment for preventing subterranean termite attacks.

“The Hex-Pro System has multiple sales opportunities beyond remedial treatment, such as post-construction prevention, new construction/pretreatment and liquid/baiting treatment combination service,” says Dave Maurer, marketing manager for the Hex-Pro System.

Requirements for using the Hex-Pro System as a stand-alone treatment in new construction in Florida include: The supplemental label, which can be found at www.dowagro.com, requires that during the first 12 months following installation, Hex-Pro™ termite stations baited with Shatter termite bait must be inspected monthly. Thereafter, baited Hex-Pro termite stations may be inspected as specified in the monitoring section of the label booklet for Shatter termite bait.

The applicator must have a copy of the supplemental label in his or her possession at the time of application. This includes initial installation and anytime the Hex-Pro termite stations are serviced during the first 12 months following installation at new construction.
