MANTUA, N.J. — Hoffman’s Exterminating recently took time to recognize its standout technicians and office personnel.

Bill Hoffman, president of Hoffman’s announced this year’s winners and provided the following accolades for each of them.

Robert Rounds – Residential Service Technician of the Year– Mantua N.J, branch
“Robert is a real Scientist. That is not a misprint, he has earned his degree in this field, and continues to apply his knowledge and skill and is a leader when it comes to training our newer service technician’s. Before coming to Hoffman’s, Robert worked for Rutgers University working in the Blueberry Bogs in the Pine Lands of New Jersey. Tired of searching for the Jersey Devil, he decided to join our team, and has moved up to be our Lead Residential Technician.”

Marcellus Winder – Food Safety Division Master Technician of the Year.
“Marcellus was our first “Master Technician” and has almost every Structure Pest Control license in NJ and PA. He has passed and completed several correspondence course, as well as the Clemson Master Technician Program. Marcellus leads our Food Safety Division, and is my go to person when an audit or issues arises at our Food Processing Facilities. His quality and production is always exceptional and continues to inspire the technicians working alongside him.”

Wayne Mauri – Service Manager of the Year – Mantua N.J.
“Wayne leads our Residential and Termite division in New Jersey. His leadership and management style allows his staff to reach their full potential and the results that he is getting earned him “Top Leader” for 2017. He leads by example, and is always looking at ways to improve their performance, quality and a better working environment.”

Melissa Houser – Customer Service Representative of the Year – Mantua NJ.
“Melissa is what you would see in the Dictionary if you looked up Customer Service. Her quest to help her clients, her empathy and work ethic makes the clients and technicians feel special and valued. She never says no, and has even put on our mascot custom (Bugsbee) and strutted around parks and parades.”

Chris Rearick - Residential Service Technician of the Year– Mantua N.J branch
“Chris was recruited at a job fair, and no idea what pest control was all about. After flying through his training, we had a unique opportunity to acquire another small pest control in our area, that was around for 50 years. We asked Chris to jump in and sometimes being superman, and switching from one uniform to another, never missing a beat. He out sold and was one of our leading productive technicians in 2017.”

Jason Walker – Commercial Technician of the Year – Chester, Pa. branch
“Jason has (hands down) the toughest commercial route in our company. He works in Chester PA, which is rated one of the WORST and dangerous cities in the USA. He takes pride in what he does, and just wants to rid homes and business, regardless of where they are located, of pest. He is dedicated and also dresses up and puts his best dance moves in our mascot, “Bugsbee” entertaining the Autism Foundations, fans at the Philadelphia Union Soccer Games and even the great people at the Ronald McDonald Homes.”

Mike Jenzano - Salesman of the Year for 2017
"Mike is our longest tenure employee, at 26 years and counting. Starting when he was 16, he worked summers and weekends while in school and through college. He has done every job at Hoffman’s without complaint. But his true talent is when we moved him into Sales and Account Management. His dedication and loyalty to his customers and us, is remarkable and if I’m not available, our customers will ask for him knowing his thinks and responds as if it were me. His sales this year, were the highest in his career, and I don’t think that record will stand for long with him."
