Editor’s note: Holistic Pest Solutions, Charlottesville, Va., recently was voted the No. 1 Pest Control Company in Charlottesville, according to the Daily Progress Reader’s Choice contest. The company provided the following company history.
The American Dream…Eight years ago, two couples sat together playing family games and talking. They soon began to seriously envision a business of their own. At that time, John and Ty Ashcraft were both district managers for a well-known, regional pest control company. John and Ty knew that, working together, they could provide the superior service consumers wanted. They believed this dream could also provide a future for their families and the families of those who work with them that would last lifetimes. A year later, the first of three children was born to these couples, and a year after that Holistic Pest Solutions was born with Jennifer Ashcraft running the office. Well, the dream became a reality, and beyond that it has been an amazing ride as only six years later they have been selected as the Number One Pest Control Company in Charlottesville, according to the Daily Progress Reader’s Choice contest
Tony Elliott, the company’s longest tenured employee, has been with HPS for four years. Cheryl Skeen came onboard to manage the office in 2005, so Jennifer was able to focus on mothering her two young children. Newly married, Cheryl had a baby a year later, and then a year after that her husband Barney joined the HPS family. Tyler Payne, Chris Bedy, and Josh Kiplinger round out the team.
HPS is excited to see in six more years, more babies and more happy memories as Holistic Pest Solutions continues to grow as a part of the Central Virginia community.
