BALTIMORE – Home Paramount Pest Control will launch a new television commercial this week created and produced by Trahan, Burden & Charles (TBC). The 30-second spot, entitled “Goners,” features actors dressed as pests in a humorous depiction of the aftermath of a Home Paramount visit to an infested home.

“Goners” begins with a chaotic scene of insects staggering around a hospital emergency room. One bug helps an injured comrade out of an ambulance and into the emergency room saying, “Try to hold on,” as the patient is screaming, “It was a massacre.”

The spot then cuts to several bugs complaining about how easily Home Paramount ran them out of the residence. “They had some powerful new stuff,” says one, while another laments: “They were professional and on time.”

The spot concludes with the Home Paramount logo on the screen as the voiceover says, “Home Paramount Pest Control. We don’t like bugs either.”

The spot will run through the week of July 11, 2005 in Raleigh, N.C., Richmond, Va., Norfolk, Va., Harrisburg, Pa., and Salisbury, Md. Additional media plans include Orioles TV on WJZ in Baltimore from April 2005 through June 2005, and a schedule in Washington, D.C. from March 2005 through April 2005.
