HomeGuard Distributors announced that the company's new termite baiting system, which will be called Truth, has received EPA registration.

LARGO, Fla. — HomeGuard Distributors, Inc., announced that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has granted registration of the company's new termite baiting system, which will be called Truth. The new station is designed to work hand-in-hand with HomeGuard Subterranean Termite Monitoring Stations.

HomeGuard announced that the active ingredient for the new baiting system will be diflubenzuron at 0.25 percent.

At the same time, HomeGuard also announced that it will use the EPA registration for the company's new, large above-ground termite baiting system that will make use of approximately two pounds of bait matrix, containing diflubenzuron at 0.25 percent, to halt termite colonies.

"We now have a unique, patented termite baiting system where the station is roughly the size of the ones currently on the market," said HomeGuard President Glenn Gordon. "In addition, we have the separately patented above-ground system that pest control operators (PCOs) can use for a single bait application.

"Our large above-ground termite baiting system is the most economical way to control termite colonies, especially when you take into consideration labor costs."

While the HomeGuard Truth Termite Baiting System makes use of diflubenzuron as its active ingredient, that is where the similarity to other termite baiting systems on the market today ends. For example, if termites are found in one of HomeGuard's Subterranean Termite Monitoring Stations, that station is then removed from the ground and replaced by the HomeGuard Truth Termite Baiting System. The Truth Termite Baiting System eliminates the need to open the station, take out the bait matrix and then replace it.

HomeGuard's Truth Baiting System is tamper-resistant and non-reusable. There is a plastic grid across the bottom in order to keep the bait in the stations. There is also a sealed see-through plastic lid. The see-through lid provides PCOs with a clear vision of termite activity within the station.

The Truth Baiting System’s solid wall construction helps to prevent ants and other pests from entering while also insuring that roots won't work their way into the sides of the station. HomeGuard's Termite Baiting System will cast the same exaggerated thermal shadow as the patented and proven HomeGuard Termite Monitors. This exaggerated thermal shadow has proven to attract thousands of termites, and in some cases, tens of thousands of termites, to both the HomeGuard Termite Monitors and the new HomeGuard Termite Baiting System, HomeGuard reports.

While the baiting system stations won't be able to be reused after the termite colony is eliminated, the monitoring stations can be reused simply be inserting one of HomeGuard's corrugated cellulose matrixs into the station.

HomeGuard's corrugated cellulose matrix was extensively tested by and exclusively manufactured by HomeGuard Distributors, Inc.

HomeGuard's above-ground baiting stations will make use of the same system. Once termites have entered the above-ground monitoring station, it can be replaced by the baiting system and the monitoring station can then be reused at a later date.
