HOMER, Ga. - The “American Recovery & Reinvestment Act of 2009,” signed into law by President Obama on Feb. 17, contained provisions that enable homeowners to reduce their tax “bite” by claiming a credit of up to $1,500 for the installation of T•A•P Pest Control Insulation. The credit is calculated as 30% of the amount spent, or $1,500, whichever is less.
Bill Turk, president of Pest Control Insulations Systems, states: “Being recently classified as an Energy Star product was a significant plus for our PMP installers from a marketing perspective, but with the 30% federal tax credit we are seeing unprecedented interest in the T•A•P system. As if that weren’t enough, most states have utility companies and state agencies that offer rebates and other strong financial incentives for homeowners to install T•A•P in their attics. Even in the current economic downturn, the profits netted by T•A•P professionals have been the best ever, allowing many to not only survive, but actually improve their financial picture.”
