Housing Market Shows Signs of Life

New housing starts were up 22-point-two percent in February, the U.S. Commerce Department reported.

A big jump is reported today for the housing market.

New housing starts were up 22-point-two percent in February.

Figures from the Commerce Department indicate the seasonally adjusted annual rate of 583-thousand units represents the largest percentage hike since January 1990.

The number was a surprise to analysts who forecast an annual rate of 450-thousand units for February.
