RALEIGH, N.C. – On Jan. 27, the North Carolina Pest Management Association (NCPMA) officially opened its 76th Pest Control Technician’s (PCT) School at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel and Conference Center, welcoming pest management professionals from across the state and nation.
The event began with a keynote address, “Developing Leaders within Your Organization,” delivered by David Billingsly of the Billingsly Group, followed by NCPMA’s opening session and general membership meeting.
“People come to the PCT School every year for our nationally recognized speakers and exceptional sessions, but it’s the people of this industry who truly make this event stand out,” said Patrick Thompson, PCT committee chair. “We are proud to welcome everyone to the 76th PCT School and look forward to another outstanding year at one of the nation’s largest gatherings of pest management professionals.”
During the opening session, NCPMA also recognized outstanding contributions within the industry, presenting awards for Technician of the Year, Administrative Professional of the Year, and the Above and Beyond Impact Player of the Year.
The PCT School is North Carolina’s premier training and professional development event for pest management professionals, NCPMA said. The school offers four full days of continuing education, hands-on training and networking opportunities designed to equip technicians, managers and industry leaders with the latest knowledge, techniques and tools to excel in the field, according to the association. Attendees can participate in specialized courses, learn from nationally known speakers, and gain insights into the latest pest management technologies and regulatory updates.
The 2026 PCT School was held January 26-29.
