The International Association of Canine Pest Inspectors (IAOCPI) announced a new domain for its website and the launch of a Facebook page. IAOCPI website is now www.iaocpi.org (changing from iaocpi.org). This change was made because IAOCPI is now a registered non-profit organization.
IAOCPI also launched a Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/pages/International-Association-of-Canine-Pest-Inspectors/183964804991238
Jim Rutherford, vice president of IAOCPI, noted that 2011 was a great year for the IAOCPI. The association was able to participate in the NPMA Canine Conference as a vendor in June and was represented at the Bed Bug Summit in Chicago. One of the benefits of membership was noticed when IAOCPI was able to have the bid specifications for the United Nations Building in New York changed. Initially the requirements were that all teams must be NESDCA certified. After filing an appeal the guidelines were changed to include other 3rd party certifications which meet or exceed the NESDCA standards which included IAOCPI.
