The organizers of the next International Conference on Urban Pests (ICUP) have extended the abstract extension deadline to Sept. 30, 2013.

All abstracts dealing with the conference themes listed below are welcome:
• Hygiene pests (cockroaches, ants, bed bugs, house flies, etc.)
• Structural pests (termites, etc.)
• Vertebrates (rats, mice, pigeons, etc.)
• Invasive species (mosquitoes, etc.)
• Medical entomology/acarology
• Future pest management
• Biocide Directives
• Natural compounds
• Physical methods in pest management
Held once every three years, the next International Conference on Urban Pests (ICUP) is returning to Europe and will be held July 20 – 23, 2014. The venue is the University of Zürich, Switzerland.
This highly popular, non-profit, conference is the leading international forum for sharing information and ideas on the impact, biology and control of pests in the urban environment. It is attended by entomologists, pest management professionals, and academic and government scientists from around the world.

This will be the eighth in the series, the previous conference venues having been Cambridge, England (1993), Edinburgh, Scotland (1996) Prague, Czech Republic (1999), Charleston, USA (2002), Singapore (2005), Budapest, Hungary (2008) and Ouro Preto, Brazil (2011).
