NEW BERN, N.C. - Robert Samuel Biss, a longtime researcher at ICI Americas (later AstraZeneca), passed away on May 18, in New Bern, N.C.
According to his obituary on Legacy.com, Biss was a Vietnam Veteran who served as a sentry dog handler. He always had a fondness for military dogs, especially German Shepherds, including his own dog, King, named after his dog in Vietnam. He was a graduate of the University of Delaware, with a degree in entomology. He was previously employed by ICI Americas, Inc, later AstraZeneca. He spent the past 25 years running a home-based business. Bob lived in the Wilmington, Del. area until moving to New Bern, N.C. with his son in 2018.
