NEW YORK - Joe Barlok, whose pest control career spanned more than 24 years, passed away in late November.
Barlok most recently served as vice president of services at RJM Pest Services, New York City, leading the service department.
Robert Seeger, president of RJM Pest Services, said Barlok was one of the best service people and problem solvers in the New York/New Jersey area.
“Joe spent the past 24 years in pest management and absolutely loved the industry and the dozens of people he met along his journey,” said Seeger. “He was the heartbeat of the RJM service operation, and he will be dearly missed. Joe’s work ethic, his can do attitude and his infectious smile will live on in all of us as we move forward and honor his legacy of service excellence.”
Beginning his career as a 20-year-old new father seeking stability and opportunity, Barlok’s journey started on the West Coast with Lloyd Pest Control in San Diego County. After moving to the East Coast, he worked throughout New York City beginning in 2009 with Western Pest Services (Rollins), JP McHale (Anticimex) and RJS.
