BUFORD, Ga. — Lofton (L.A.) Phillips, founder of Northwest Exterminating, passed away on May 11, at age 90. In 1951, Northwest Exterminating was founded by L.A. and his wife, Emma Lene Phillips, in Northwest Atlanta.
Throughout the years, Northwest has grown from a family of two to a family of more than 300 employees with 14 service centers across Georgia to serve the Southeast. Today, Northwest is led by Steve Phillips (L.A. and Emma’s oldest son), Stephen Phillips (Steve’s son) serves as Leader of Operations, and Stanford Phillips (Steve’s son) serves as Leader of Business Development.
