BROOKEVILLE, Md. — Noah A. Krikstan, a technician with Innovative Pest Management in Brookeville, Md., was PCT’s most recent book giveaway winner.
Krikstan, 29, began working for Dr. Richard Kramer at Innovative Pest Management four years ago. Previously, he worked in the HVAC field but he was not happy with this profession and he wanted to try something new, he said. Krikstan’s father, Luke, is a co-owner of Innovative Pest Management and once Noah started performing pest control he was hooked.
“(I) absolutely love doing pest control. I know that this field of work is going to be my lifelong career,” Krikstan said. “This type of work is stimulating, interesting, fascinating and many other things all rolled in one. The best thing about this job is that after spending time getting to know a customer, obtaining the information I need to learn about pests and their biology, ways to control them, and then applying this information to get the job done (I then see) the smile on the customer's face which tells me I did a good job. I am able to go home after a long day and feel good about myself knowing I did an honest day's worth of work and I worked my butt off and I know that I helped someone achieve a more pest-free environment.”
Krikstan is an avid hunter and fisherman and he "loves to do anything involving the outdoors." He also enjoys landscaping and gardening. He and his wife have three children.
