Interstate Pest Management Becomes bedbugFREE

Interstate Pest Management, Kelso, Wash., is the newest member of the bedbugFREE network of approved companies.

Lawrenceville, N.J. – Interstate Pest Management, Kelso, Wash., is the newest member of the bedbugFREE network of approved companies. The network is part of Bed Bug Central, home to a comprehensive Web site devoted to bed bug information.

Interstate Pest Management utilizes the latest techniques and the most effective practices as they battle against bed bugs. Family-owned and -operated since 1963, Interstate Pest utilizes a team approach for every bed bug service plan and their technicians undergo specialized training in order to ensure a bed bug free result. Since their inception, Interstate Pest Management has shown a commitment to environmentally friendly pest control.

As a bedbugFREE company, Interstate Pest Management becomes part of the growing bedbugFREE network of pest management firms approved by Bedbugcentral.com. Created by Phil and Rick Cooper, president and vice president of Cooper Pest Solutions, bedbugcentral.com provides a wealth of resources and products for consumers around the country, the Coopers report.

bedbugFREE is a network of “like minded companies sharing the philosophies of Bed Bug Central.” All companies proceed through a rigorous screening process overseen by Rick Cooper. Approved companies are then listed as a bedbugFREE on Bed Bug Centrals’ Web site and in turn receive referrals as part of the bedbugFREE network. To date the approval process and all leads are at no charge from Bed Bug Central, and the program is building momentum with daily submissions.

“Interstate Pest Management has taken a position to be informed and trained in all aspects of pest management, and bed bugs were no exception,” said Secretary Treasurer Dwayne Clement. “We felt it was important to align ourselves with the leaders in bed bug training to develop our bed bug program, and Bed Bug Central lived up to its reputation.”

Interstate Pest Management was the first attendee of Bed Bug Central’s Bed Bug University. Bed Bug University is a four-day course designed to shorten the learning curve of companies that want to increase their bed bug revenues and enhance their bed bug business model. Interstate Pest completed this rigorous four-day training, which included a comprehensive testing and application process, and upon completion of those tasks resulted in them being bedbugFREE approved.

In addition to bedbugFREE, Bed Bug Central has created a variety of resources that are now available to the industry, which include:

o On the Job Observation: Designed for pest control companies who wish to see the Bed Bug Central philosophies in action, companies have the opportunity to spend a day in the field with one of Cooper Pest Solution’s bed bug teams. In addition to the field observation the program includes two hours of classroom time with entomologist Jeff White.
o Documents package: The package provides pest management companies with all of the documents developed by Richard Cooper and Jeff White for Cooper Pest Solutions. This includes agreements, client information sheets and treatment protocols. It also grants the purchasing company unlimited use of the documents for use in their day to day operations. Additionally, the documents are customized for each company, with their company logo and information on the top of each form.
o Bed Bug Central University: A four-day course being held in September, December and March of 2010, which includes extensive bed bug biology and behavior, explores the unique legal challenges of bed bugs, reviews all of the Bed Bug Central protocols and philosophies in detail along with the challenges bed bugs pose.
