MERIDIAN, Idaho – The Idaho Pest Management Association (IPMA) hosted the 2025 Idaho Pest Exposition, held at the Galaxy Event Center, Meridian, Idaho, from Dec. 9-10.

This year's event was well attended, said Cascade Pest Control. Attendees placed some of their attention on the two presentations about rat control, being as the greater Boise, Idaho, area is experiencing a relatively new situation with roof rats and Norway rats. The state of Idaho has long encountered a strong and steady field mouse problem in homes and businesses. Other topics, such as flies, mosquitoes, ants and boxelder bugs were also discussed.

The highlights of the rodent presentations were from Jim Shaver of Catchmaster and Timothy Madere, an urban rodentologist, from New Orleans, La.
