FRENCH LICK, Ind. — The Indiana Pest Management Association (IPMA) held its 2025 Summer Meeting, July 17–18, at the iconic French Lick Resort, welcoming members and industry partners for two days of networking, recreation and strategic discussion.
While the meeting did not include formal training sessions this year, attendees participated in a one-hour legislative roundtable focused on the current state of regulatory affairs in Indiana. The discussion emphasized the growing need for industry advocacy amid a shifting political landscape that could significantly impact pest management businesses statewide.
The event featured a full schedule of leisure activities, including golf, horseback riding, trap and skeet shooting and a wine and spirits tasting — offering attendees a relaxed setting to reconnect and build relationships across the pest control industry. Most allied member companies were represented, making this one of the year’s strongest networking opportunities, the association said.
A major highlight of the event was the annual IPMA Scholarship Auction, which raised just under $6,000. In recognition of the increasing legislative challenges facing the industry, the board voted to direct auction proceeds toward advocacy efforts that will support the association’s role in protecting pest management interests at the state level.
Scholarship recipient Rhys Duncan joined attendees at the dinner and was warmly welcomed by members.
The meeting also marked a significant transition in association leadership. Carrie Campbell (Hatfield Pest Control, LaPorte, IN) concluded her term as president and passed the torch to Rob Jackson (Jackson Pest Management, Leo, IN), with Jeremy Word (Zycor Pest Management, Evansville, IN) stepping into the vice president role.
Scot Wright, Sr. (ARAB, Evansville, IN ) assumed the position of Southern Director. Additionally, a bylaw change was passed which secured Holly Fletcher-Timmons in the Executive Director role for the association. As a result, the existing Secretary/Treasurer role was split into two separate positions. Carrie Campbell will serve as Secretary, and Joe Long was appointed Treasurer.
“We are entering a time of political uncertainty that demands unity and strategic action from our industry,” said Executive Director Holly Fletcher-Timmons. “This meeting reinforced the strength of our community and the critical role that advocacy will play in the months ahead.”
