Lawrenceville, N.J. — Cooper Pest Solutions welcomes a fellow pest control operator from the other side of the world. Hiroshi Yamaguchi of Bug Off! Pest Control and Sanitation, located in Japan, has traveled halfway across the world to learn pest control from the New Jersey-based firm.
Bug Off! Pest Control and sanitation is located in Hayama, a small coastal town with a growing population of 33,000 residents. Yamaguchi works for his father-in-law who runs the pest control company. Yamaguchi is the director, general manager, and in the sales department of this company. He is here to learn how to effectively transition into the role of second-generation business owner, and integrate some of Cooper’s best practices into his company.

Hiroshi’s next stop is Washington, D.C., for this week’s NPMA convention, PestWorld 2008. PestWorld offers networking receptions, educational sessions, and the largest trade show in the pest control industry with over 175 vendors. “I am very happy to have the opportunity to learn more about American pest control,” said Yamaguchi. “Everyone here has been so kind and helpful, I am excited to bring the information I have learned back to my company.”
Yamaguchi said he chose Cooper as his American destination because of the firm’s innovative and cutting edge pest control technology, and technical director, Richard Cooper. According to Yamaguchi, Cooper is widely known throughout the Japanese pest management industry and is highly regarded for his research findings. The Japanese regularly look to implement his research findings to enhance their pest practices.
“We are thrilled to be international investors on the behalf of the United States pest management industry,” said Cooper Pest Solutions President Phillip Cooper. “Having Hiro here has been a wonderful cultural experience for my entire team, and we look forward to continuing to work with him and his company.”
