RAYMORE, Mo. — Jim Dewberry, owner and operator of Best Pest Solutions, Raymore, Mo., was announced as the winner of "The Way of the Cockroach" by Greg Hovey, one of the books discussed in June Rearview. Dewberry was chosen from a pool of entrants in a recent PCT Book Giveaway. (Click here for your chance to win the current book giveaway).

Dewberry entered the pest control by way of the dog pound. In 1978, the native Californian was working for a dog pound in the state of Indiana and was in charge of killing fleas. One year later, he moved back to Southern California and began career in the pest control industry.

Dewberry founded Best Pest Solutions in May 2006 and he is happy as a one-man operator, offering termite, pest and rodent solutions throughout the Kansas City (Missouri and Kansas) area. Dewberry said his niche is servicing restaurants and hotels. “I like helping people, providing them with solutions and seeing a smile on their faces when their concerns are taken care of,” he said.

Dewberry is married to wife Lisa, who is a nurse, and the couple have three daughters and five grandchildren.
