AUSTIN, Texas — The Structural Pest Control Service (SPCS), Texas’ new structural pest control governing body, will be run by Jim Muse.
Muse is retired from the Army and has worked for the Texas Attorney General’s office and the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA).
The transition plan to move the tasks of the Texas Structural Pest Control Board to TDA was unveiled July 12, according to Ken Myers, executive director of the Texas Pest Control Association (TPCA). Existing SPCB employees have been invited to apply for SPCS jobs at TDA.
Muse expects the transition to TDA to take effect Sept. 1, 2007, according to Myers.
