“With Keith Holmes’ more than 15 years of experience in the domestic and international pest control markets and well-respected work building the BASF Termidor® termiticide-insecticide/fipronil business, we are confident he will help secure a broader customer base by bringing global, brand-building expertise,” said Nevin McDougall, group vice president AP North America.
Since joining BASF when fipronil was acquired from Bayer in 2003, Holmes has been part of the BASF global marketing team. More recently, Holmes led the marketing team within BASF France before returning to manage the U.S. BASF Pest Control business.
“I’ve already experienced the good team spirit in the first weeks of our integration work and am impressed with the innovation capability of Whitmire. I’m looking forward to working with the teams in St. Louis to build on that reputation for innovation. Clearly, we will have many opportunities for growth,” said Holmes.
Holmes will report to Paul Rea, Director Specialty Products U.S. for Agricultural Products, and will be responsible for sales, marketing and business strategy for the combined BASF Whitmire business. An important part of Holmes’ role will involve partnering with Andy Symons, who has been appointed to represent the Sorex/Whitmire business on the Integration Steering Committee. Symons will play an integral role during the integration phase and will be leading many of the integration efforts to ensure a highly successful and seamless integration of the BASF and Whitmire operations.
