CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Mike Rogers, owner of Killingsworth Environmental of the Carolinas, has announced the promotion of Andrew Rogers to chief operating officer (COO), effective July 24. Andrew joined Killingsworth in 2007 as a pest technician and has steadily risen through the ranks, filling multiple management positions since that time. Formerly the vice president of operations, Andrew will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to his new role, according to a company press release.
“One of the biggest things I’m looking forward to is continuing to grow an already amazing company,” Andrew said. “My goal will be to increase the size and demand for Killingsworth and expand on the services that we offer our customers.”
Mathew Rogers, brother of Andrew and current vice president of marketing for Killingsworth, has been working alongside Mike and Andrew since 2013. Regarding Andrew’s recent promotion, Mathew stated, “I don’t know anyone more committed, driven or hard working as Andrew, and I’m so proud to support him as he leads the charge for our company.” Both brothers will play vital roles in leadership as their father, Mike Rogers, nears retirement.
After growing Killingsworth into a $20 million business, Mike and wife Debbie said they have no doubts about putting the company in the hands of the second generation. “Moving Andrew into his new position was really a ‘no brainer’ for me and this company,” Mike said. “He has done every job, been in every meeting and has multiple licenses for many of our services. I am very proud of his dedication to our company and all our team members. He has all their support and respect and returns the same. I am very blessed to have three wonderful sons that share my vision of the direction of this company.”
