ALBIA, Iowa – Kness Manufacturing announced the addition of Dan Crew as the company’s general manager. In this position, Crew will oversee the daily operations at Kness, including being involved in various aspects of the business such as creating and implementing strategies designed to grow the company, managing the development of key performance goals and more
Before joining the Kness team, Crew was at his previous employer for 31 years. There he was involved in near every aspect of manufacturing, starting as a production worker and moving his way up from acting foreman, production scheduler, data control specialist, senior site purchasing agent and finally as a process control technician.
Crew is very involved with Six Sigma, a set of management techniques aimed at improving business processes. He is a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt professional and is well versed in the methodology. Crew said he looks forward to helping strengthen the foundation that Kness has established for its products and services.
