ALBIA, Iowa - There are few images as disturbing to the public as the sight of a dead rodent in a snap trap. To address this common public relations problem for PMPs, Kness Manufacturing Co., has introduced the Snap-E® Cover to conceal dead mice captured by snap traps in public areas.
Constructed of durable plastic, the Snap-E Cover accommodates Kness’ popular Snap-E® mousetrap, as well as all standard wooden snap traps. The Snap-E mousetrap is easy to set and bait and features a larger trip paddle and strike bar to ensure it works the first time, every time, capturing mice from the front, sides and back.
Snap-E Covers are available in four colors – white, black, gray and brown – to blend seamlessly into any environment, whether placed on the floor of a food processing plant or in the storage area of a health care facility. In addition, the covers are “paintable” should a PMP’s account require a custom color.
Each Snap-E Cover comes with a safety key to prevent accidental tampering. The covers are quick and easy to service, making the units well suited for large commercial accounts. To remove the top of the cover, the technician simply inserts the safety key into the slot beside the entrance hole. While holding the base of the unit, the technician pushes in on the key and pulls straight up to remove the cover. After baiting the snap trap, the cover snaps quickly and easily back into place and the technician moves on to the next unit.
