ALBIA, Iowa — Kness Manufacturing Co. has hired a new sales representative to cover the Northeastern United States.
George Frank, an independent sales rep with a long history in the pest management industry, signed on with the Iowa-based rodent trap company in November.
Frank started in the pest management industry in 1969, when he was 19 and helped out at his father’s termite control company, Modern Methods, in Amityville, N.Y. He formed his own company, Chem-Trol, Magnolia, N.J., in 1975 and operated it until he sold it in 1988.
“I like the people,” Frank said. “There’s a real good bunch of people in this industry.”
He now lives in Somerdale, N.J., where he works as an independent sales rep for several industry suppliers.
“I hired George because of his years of experience in the pest control industry,” said Steve Cooper, marketing manager. “He is a hard worker. He is well liked by PMPs and distributors, and has made many contacts in his years of working in the Northeast.”
