UNIONDALE, N.Y. — Knockout Pest Control, is providing free pest control services for one year to Liberty Village, a development for homeless veterans and their families.
The grand opening of Liberty Village was celebrated Sep. 29, on the property at 600 Albany Avenue, Amityville, N.Y.
“Knockout Pest Control, as a local company, has a tradition of supporting our community and worthy causes. Homeless veterans are sometimes called our ‘forgotten heroes,’ but that will never be true with us,” said Knockout Pest Control CEO Arthur Katz. “We are honored to provide support for the men and women who have given so much.”
Liberty Village is a new development that will provide permanent, supportive housing for 60 homeless veterans and homeless veteran families. It is sponsored, developed and managed by Concern for Independent Living, Inc. Concern is Long Island’s largest non-profit provider of supportive housing for individuals and families, with a 25 year track record of success. The project was initiated to combat the epidemic of homelessness on Long Island, which mirrors a nationwide trend.
“Concern for Independent Living is pleased to be working with Knockout Pest Control. We are touched by their generosity,” said Concern for Independent Living Executive Director Ralph Fasano.
By providing state-of-the-art pest control services, Knockout Pest Control will make a major impact on the health and well-being of residents.
