SEATTLE, Wash. — About 40 runners and walkers participated in the Professional Women in Pest Management (PWIPM) 5K Fun Run/Walk for Breast Cancer Awareness on Friday, Oct. 21 at NPMA’s PestWorld in Seattle.
The 7th annual PWIPM 5K Run/Walk is held during Breast Cancer Awareness month. This year the group hoped to raise $7,000 for the Avon Foundation for Women through the 5K registration fees.
Kevin Lemasters, EnviroPest, Loveland, Colo., came in first for the men. Holly Beard, Polyguard, Gainesville, Fla., was the first woman to finish.
The run was sponsored by Arrow Exterminators, Dow AgroSciences, FMC, Gardex, PestWest and ServicePro.
