PENSACOLA, Fla. – Kevin Lemasters, an executive coach and founder of Action Leadership, has launched the PCO Leader Academy, a leadership development program designed for the pest management industry.
The 18-month program is intended to address a gap in industry training. While many companies invest in technical training for technicians and administrative staff, leadership development for managers and emerging leaders is often limited. The academy offers a structured approach to help participants build leadership skills focused on communication, culture, and employee engagement.
“Too often, companies settle for good managers when what they really need are great leaders,” Lemasters said. “Good managers get results. Great leaders bring out the best in people.”
The program includes weekly microlessons, interactive workbooks and monthly cohort coaching sessions. Topics include:
Organizational culture and leadership
- Vision, mission and values
- Self-awareness and emotional intelligence
- Cross-generational communication
- Team leadership and influence
- Management practices such as time, conflict and change management
- Financial literacy for business decision-making
The academy follows a “train-the-trainer” model, with the goal of enabling graduates to mentor others within their organizations.
“Leadership development is no longer optional,” Lemasters said. “If we want to attract and keep talent, we must grow leaders at every level of our organizations.”
Enrollment is currently open, with new cohorts beginning in January 2026.
